About

Practitioner-built.
Not a consultancy.

[About page — expanding]

Full Harbor is built from 15 years of working inside sailing organizations — membership, governance, programs, capital projects, communications, revenue, staff and volunteer systems. The work made certain gaps obvious. Full Harbor is the field-scale extension of that work: a practice that produces public artifacts, not a consulting business, not a software platform.

The same friction that shows up in a sailing club shows up in a library branch, a parks department, a volunteer committee, a community health network. The water’s edge is the starting point, not the limit.

The tools here are designed to be useful without a data team, a grant writer, or a long implementation cycle. Harbor Commons is free and public. The methods behind it are documented so others can inspect, adapt, and build on them. Earned revenue from Harbor Soundings funds the open infrastructure.

This work can continue alongside a full-time employment role. The tools belong to the field, not to a business model. The goal is for what’s built here to be useful long after any particular person’s involvement.
